Made up of eight main land masses and more than 22 smaller islands, Providenciales is the most densely populated and developed island. The likes of Grand Turk, North Caicos, South Caicos, Middle Caicos, Salt Cay and more remain largely untouched and uninhabited. Island hopping by chartered ship is the best way to explore them all, particularly if you prefer the luxury of travelling with champagne to a secluded seafront.
Trek along Bird Rock Trail for views across vast blues, exposed mangrove roots, a plethora of tropical fauna and the occasional fossil; snorkel around Iguana Island with the chance to see creatures of both the sea and land; or explore Chalk Sound National Park from offshore by paddleboard for the opportunity to meet sea turtles, sharks, and hidden cover such as Sapodilla Bay.
