About La Galine
A charming and well-equipped villa in the heart of Provence’s Alpilles National Park, La Galine makes for a perfect family-friendly retreat. This villa offers views of the Provençal countryside at its best. It also provides flexible accommodation options spread across three independent buildings. With its expansive grounds dotted with tranquil seating areas, there’s ample space for large groups to make themselves completely at home.
The villa’s elegant main building has a semi-professional kitchen on the ground floor. Living spaces include a Provençal-style living room with a fireplace, and a formal dining room that can seat up to 10 guests. An en suite bedroom on this level has a beamed ceiling and opens onto a terrace with garden views.
Upstairs there are four en suite and air-conditioned bedrooms, one of which has bunk beds ideal for young children. There are four more welcoming bedrooms spread over the villa’s two separate annexes, with a kitchenette in each building that’s handy for informal breakfasts and late-night snacks.
The gardens of La Galine are irresistible: dotted with hundreds of olive and cypress trees, lavender bushes and plane trees. During the days you can relax by the large saltwater swimming pool, practise your serve on the tennis court or just settle down in a shaded nook to catch up on your reading. The chic village of St-Remy-de-Provence is nearby, and there’s a wealth of walking and biking trails to explore nearby in the spectacular Alpilles National Park.
