About Villa Affaccio
Villa Affaccio is a historic villa whose heritage adds an old world grandeur to the timeless beauty of Lake Como. This 19th-century villa graces the lake’s shore in the village of Laglio. Long recognised for its scenic views, Laglio is the location chosen by George Clooney for his own Italian retreat. The villa’s owner, a famous Italian fashion designer, recently supervised a renovation, turning the villa into a home offering modern comforts but retaining many of its original features.
With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, this Lake Como villa makes a great family holiday home. The quirky interiors boast Art Deco details and stained-glass windows. Old and new pieces have been thoughtfully combined to create a stylish but welcoming home.
The village of Laglio dates back to Roman times and, like the serene beauty of the lake, is right on your doorstep. Take a leisurely stroll through the cobblestoned streets of its borgo, browse its shops and enjoy the delicious local specialities in its restaurants.
Two bikes and two canoes are provided for the use of guests, and a motorboat can be provided on request at extra cost. The villa has its own private dock for motorboats, and the lake is directly accessible from the garden.
With its idyllic location on the lake shore and in the charming village of Laglio, Villa Affaccio is the perfect setting for a truly relaxing Lake Como holiday.
