About Torre Grutti
There are many villas in Umbria offering brazen charms, but Torre Grutti is most certainly not one. Instead it's a magical retreat and a dreamlike getaway. This mystic medieval watchtower has been exquisitely transformed by arcane contemporary design. During its 900 year history this tower has been a stronghold for nightly vigils. Today it is an intriguing pleasure palace where nightly sundowners are enjoyed.
Intimate, comfortable and evocative, this charming villa offers a purity of architectural lines. These are softened by a graceful combination of design furniture and glamorous accent pieces. The tower is surrounded by an expansive park, a splendid 19th-century garden and a romantic collection of antique roses. Its secluded swimming pool offers the ultimate spot to admire the scenery and enjoy the sun in complete privacy.
The experience of living in a medieval tower is totally unique. Five floors are connected by elevator. These include numerous bedrooms, four living rooms, three kitchens and three inside dining rooms. The tower culminates in an extraordinary terrace. From 24 metres above the ground you'll enjoy spectacular views and gourmet cuisine prepared by the in-house Chef.
There are many more gastronomic delights in the surrounding area. Fine Umbrian olive oils and highly respected wines await your discovery. At Tenuta Castelbuono Arnaldo Pomodoro designed the cellar as a "sculpture in which one can live and work".
Torre Grutti is similarly an architectural masterpiece: a sculpture in which one can live and play.
