About Villa Aurea
On Ibiza’s quiet north coast, Villa Aurea is a six-bedroom hideout brimming with Balearic style and go-slow attitude. A short path through the pines delivers you directly to a small beach; on your doorstep you’ll find hippie markets, beach clubs and pretty villages.
Originally imagined and designed by Carlos Ferrater, one of Spain’s leading architects, Villa Aurea was built at the turn of the millennium. A recent renovation in 2024 gave its interiors an elegant, easy-going update using Mallorcan tufa stone, serpentine marble in the bathrooms, restored terrazzo floors and iroko wood.
It is a smart, grown-up build, yet still feels light and playful, with features such as a sand-floor playground (with swings, slides, a climbing frame and toddler tower), a pétanque court, and a beach volleyball court.
Of the six double rooms, there are two in the main house, and four bungalows with private access – great for couples, teens or solo guests grateful for privacy and personal space. Each bungalow is equipped with ensuite bathrooms, private balconies and views of the ocean.
Outside, you’ll find an expansive terrace, heated pool, fitness facilities, cooking equipment and an outdoor cinema, plus 25 acres of garden filled with pines, rosemary, mastic and sabina. Inside, there’s underfloor heating and aircon – a terrific modern Mediterranean villa built for group stays.
